Boi Kwong

Boi KWONG (Singapore) is a producer, teacher and filmmaker who has worked on television commercials, music videos and films. He graduated from Visual Communications (majoring in Photography, Video and Audio Visual) at Temasek Polytechnic in 1999, and also studied Mass Communications (majoring in Film and Television) in Australia at Curtin University of Technology. He is a lecturer at Institute of Technical Education (ITE) where he also helps to develop courses in cinematography and digital video production. Kwong's debut short film Wait(2000) won him the Special Jury Prize in the Singapore Film Festival’s Silver Screen Awards, while the feature debut Sui yue: The Days (2008) screened at festivals in Shanghai, Copenhagen and Singapore, and was the highest-grossing independent film of that same year in Singapore. His most recent film, Geylang (2022), was selected for IFFR 2023.
