Azazel Jacobs

Azazel JACOBS (1972, New York) is the son of avant-garde film maker Ken Jacobs. In 1995 he graduated from the film department of the SUNY Purchase school. His graduation film Kirk and Kerry won an award for best short film at the Slamdance Film Festival in 1997. In 1999 Jacobs started a study at The American Film Institute in Los Angeles. During this period he made his first feature-length film Nobody Needs To Know which had its world première at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2003. His second feature The GoodTimesKid was very successful among critics and audiences. Momma's Man is his third feature. In the Filmmaker Magazine of August 2007, Azazel Jacobs was listed among the "25 Directors To Watch".
