Anne Teresa DE KEERSMAEKER (1960, Belgium) is a successful choreographer of post modern dance and she is very influential in international dance circles.
The performances she danced with her group Rosas brought her international attention from the beginning. Besides being the director at both Rosas and P.A.R.T.S, and teaching at her own school, she continued producing. Some of her choreographies are registered on film, but Achterland (1994) is the only film she directed herself. The film was awarded the Dance Screen Award in Lyon.
