Anicka Yi

Anicka YI (1971, South Korea) is a Korean-born American conceptual artist. In her work, which focuses on materiality, perishability and consumerism, she uses materials like food and fragrances. She was awarded the Hugo Boss Prize in October 2016; subsequently, she was invited to present a solo exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Her exhibition here will open in 2017. The Flavor Genome (2016) is Yi's first film project.
