Andy Warhol

Andy WARHOL (1927-1987, USA) was born Andrew Warhola, son of Czech immi¡grants, in Cleveland. His film work is still one of the most important manifestations of Pop Art, of which he was high priest. Well-known films produced by Warhol and directed by Paul Morrissey are Flesh (1968), Trash (1970), Heat (1972) and Blood for Dracula (1973). In later life, Warhol experimented a great deal with video.
