Independent artist and filmmaker Amir TOODEHROOSTA (1982, Iran) has a degree in filmmaking from the Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS) and studied Theatre at the Sooreh University in Tehran. He has made 17 short films, including Yek rooz e ghashang e barfi/A Beautiful Snowy Day (2009), which was nominated for the Muhr AsiaAfrica Award at Dubai International Film Festival. His first feature film Paat (2013) was nominated for the Asian Future Best Film Award at Tokyo International Film Festival, and the Grand Prix at Warsaw International Film Festival. Numb (2023) has its world premiere at IFFR 2023.
