Aivars Freimanis

Aivars FREIMANIS (1936, Yelgava, Latvia) studied Latvian language and literature at the University of Latvia and worked as a reporter. He made his directing debut with the short documentary The City Takes Wing for Latvian television. He has made several documentaries and more that eighty news reports characterised by a poetic perception of life, philosophical insight and significant details.
