Ahmet Uluçay
Ahmet ULUÇAY (1954, Tepecik, Turkey) is a self-taught film maker who became fascinated by cinema when a travelling projectionist visited his village in the 1960s. He made several award-winning shorts that have been shown at film festivals at home and abroad. Boats out of Watermelon Rinds, Uluçay's feature début, won the Golden Tulip for Best Film at the film festival of Istanbul.
