Agnès Merlet

Agnès Merlet (1961) studied at the IDHEC in Paris. She made two short films in that period, La guerre des pâtes and Poussière d'étoiles. For the latter she received the Jean Vigo Prize. She has made music videos (including one about Jean-Louis Murat and his group Les Innocents) and was assistant director on Black Mic Mac by Thomas Gilou. For Le fils du requin, Merlet received the Grand Prix du Scénario from the Gan Foundation. This is also the first film produced by the Compagnie des Images.
