As a child, fashion designer agnès b. (1941, France) dreamed of becoming a museum curator. She borrowed the first letter of the name of her first husband to create her designer’s name, and has kept it ever since. At the age of 19, she was offered a Junior fashion editor position at Elle magazine. She also began working as a free lance designer for several reputable fashion houses, but soon established her own clothing label agnès b., in 1973. Nowadays, there are over fifty stores around the world bearing her name. In 1997, she created her own film production company Love Streams.
