Abbas Amini

Abbas AMINI (I983, Iran) is a screenwriter and filmmaker who began making short films when he was just 13. Amini initially started his career as an assistant director, before directing his first film Valderrama in 2016, which screened at Berlinale and was nominated for Best Feature Film in the Generation section. Amini has also been a volunteer with Association for the Protection of Child Labourers for more than a decade. His work has often covered the effects of the conflict between Iran and Iraq, an issue he's explored in his latest film Endless Borders (2023).
