On Wednesday 9 March, young cinephiles will have the opportunity to explore film and screenwriting during the IFFR Kids Talk Schrijftijgers, in collaboration with SKVR: a film and writing workshop for children aged 7 to 12.
During this Kids Talk, we’ll give you a peek inside the world of film. Director and screenwriter Froukje Tan will join us to talk about her new film Kung Fu Leeuw. You’ll find out how screenplays are written and scenes are brought to life.
You’ll be the first to get a sneak preview of the plot and scenes of Kung Fu Leeuw. Following this, you’ll form small groups and get to work yourself: under the guidance of Froukje and SKVR, you’ll write your own scene, inspired by the film.
Froukje Tan directs and writes films and series. Her latest film Kung Fu Leeuw, which she both wrote and directed, will be released in cinemas later this year. During this Kids Talk, Froukje will guide you through the world of screenwriting and give you tips and tricks to get started yourself.
This workshop is a collaboration between IFFR and SKVR.
