Dutch cinema made a big impression at IFFR 2025. In case you missed them, this year\u2019s Netherlands Film Festival (26 September \u2013 3 October 2025) in Utrecht presents plenty of IFFR 2025 shorts, features and immersive media works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IFFR 2025 was a hugely strong showing for Dutch filmmaking talent across the festival programmes: from the world premiere of our opening film, the fantastical Fabula<\/strong> by Michiel ten Horn \u2013 to international festival hits like Jan-Willem van Ewijk\u2019s Venice prize-winning alpine thriller Alpha. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our Rotterdam strand RTM, we were delighted to world premiere our joyful RTM Pitch winner Bubbling Baby<\/strong> by Sharine Rijsenburg, and Art Directions presented two world premieres of Dutch immersive projects. You can catch these, and many more, at this year’s Netherlands Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s RTM Pitch-winner, Ashley R\u00f6ttjers, will be present on the NFF Focustalk: Genrebending<\/strong>, where director Michael Middelkoop will talk with Steffen Haars, Fadua El Akchaoui, Safi Graauw, R\u00f6ttjers and VPRO Flowerboy about courage, innovation and the future of storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Dutch features formerly presented at IFFR Pro\u2019s co-production market CineMart are also found in this year\u2019s NFF programme. Find out more and visit the programme below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
