Darkroom is a platform for recently completed or nearly finished films \u2013 all supported by the Hubert Bals Fund, formerly presented at CineMart or with a Rotterdam Lab alumni attached \u2013 seeking completion funding, sales agents, and festival platforming and exposure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected teams will have the chance to present their work to international sales agents, festival programmers and buyers, and will receive tailored mentorship from senior editors, marketing strategists, festival experts and distribution professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Darkroom, IFFR nurtures its ongoing relationships with previously supported creators, producers and projects and provides ongoing support as their careers and projects evolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Darkroom success in 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last edition\u2019s projects had a year of wide spread success and acclaim, including:&nbsp;<strong>Dry Leaf<\/strong>&nbsp;by Alexandre Koberidze (Special Mention &amp; FIPRESCI prize Locarno 2025, TIFF, BFI),&nbsp;<strong>Sorella di Clausura<\/strong>&nbsp;by Ivana Mladenovic (best actress award for lead Katia Pascariu, Locarno 2025; Heart of Sarajevo Award for best film Sarajevo IFF),&nbsp;<strong>Last Night I Conquered the City of Thebes&nbsp;<\/strong>by Gabriel Azor\u00edn (Giornate degli Autori, Venice, WP 2025;
