We support new and adventurous filmmaking talent, also beyond the screening room, through initiatives such as CineMart, the Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and other industry activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January each year, we bring together emerging and established filmmakers and artists from around the world to showcase a visionary programme of independent films, talks, exhibitions, performances, installations, immersive media and more. IFFR attracts over 300,000 visits to screenings and events annually. We also organise a range of film-related activities throughout the year, with our Filmclub and other collaborations with Rotterdam-based partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January\/February 2027, we will celebrate the 56th edition of our 11-day festival, and we are looking for two enthusiastic interns to join our Communications team. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience at one of the largest festivals in the Netherlands!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the internship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Part of the Audiences &amp; Communities division, the Communications team is responsible for the festival\u2019s audience- and industry-facing communications, including publications, newsletters, programme information and editorials. Please note that we can only accept applications from students who receive supervision from their educational institution for the duration of the internship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A strong affinity with film and a keen interest in expanding your knowledge about the film industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You possess excellent English language communication skills, both in speech and writing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re familiar with programmes like Photoshop (for the Image internship only), Microsoft Office and Google Drive.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re creative and curious, work well under pressure and pay attention to detail.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have strong analytical and organisational skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re a team player and are not afraid to take initiative.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You live in Rotterdam or within travelling distance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You enjoy working with text and images.
