We support new and adventurous filmmaking talent, also beyond the screening room, through initiatives such as CineMart, the Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and other industry activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January each year, we bring together emerging and established filmmakers and artists from around the world to showcase a visionary programme of independent films, talks, exhibitions, performances, installations, immersive media and more. IFFR attracts over 300,000 visits to screenings and events annually. We also organise a range of film-related activities throughout the year, with our Filmclub and other collaborations with Rotterdam-based partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January\/February 2027, we will celebrate the 56th edition of our 11-day festival, and we are looking for two enthusiastic interns to join our Guest team. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience at one of the largest festivals in the Netherlands!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the internship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, IFFR welcomes over 2,000 guests from the film industry, including more than 400 filmmakers who are part of the festival programme. The Guest team, which falls under the International Relations department, plays a key role in communicating with guests before and during the festival. They organise their travel to Rotterdam and ensure they have an unforgettable experience at the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an intern, you will support the Head of International Relations and the Guest team in assisting filmmaker guests. You will help prepare their participation, coordinate their travel arrangements and ensure everything runs smoothly during the festival.
