Tracey-Lee Rainers
Tracey-Lee is a story development practitioner and creative collaborator. She works with film and TV creatives from around the globe. She is co-founder/director at Story Oasis, a story development and training organisation that is focused on developing authentic narratives that resonate with local and international audiences.
Story Oasis has successfully managed the Trajectory Training HUB (2021) which trained eight writers and four script editors, the Story Oasis GFC' Story Initiative and the FITI Training Programme (KZNFC). In 2021 Story Oasis were selected on merit into the Tshimologong Ya Basadi 4IR programme run by Wits University’s Tech Incubation Hub, and is sponsored by JP Morgan. Story Oasis is a proud alumni and we have facilitated story workshops for animation interns at Tshimologong.
Tracey-Lee also works as an independent story consultant having mentored on the Produire au Sud ‘Jumpstart’ Lab (2022) and the Durban Film Marts Story Junction.
With a solid track record of 16 years in the industry, Tracey-Lee has produced, directed and written for many of South Africa's production companies, broadcasters and producers. The latest is an upcoming Netflix Original Series that she served as creative consultant on. She is a story editor working with the Kwazulu Natal Film Commision and National Film and Video Foundation.
