Sawsan Yusuf (1988) is an Egyptian producer, a graduate of Ain Shams University in drama and criticism, and a Rotterdam Lab 2022 alumni.
She started her career in the industry in 2009 as coordinator for several festivals and film markets in the Middle East alongside working as line producer for documentaries and shorts.
In 2019 she established her company Bonanza Films and as a producer made the short film Henet Ward that had its world premiere in Clermont Ferrand's international competition and was selected for 180 festivals worldwide such as BFI London, Palm Springs, Busan, Durban, Cairo and won 25 prizes. She then produced the French co-production Khadiga which was also selected at Clermont Ferrand's international competition.
She is now working on other shorts and developing her first feature film project which was selected for La Fabrique cinema at Cannes, alongside other markets EL Gouna & Cinemed Montpellier, Durban Film Mart, Ouaga and others.
