The GooseMike Maryniuk IFFR 2018 72′
This deaf-and-dumb young man who is called ‘the Goose’ by his scoffing acquaintances makes the most psychedelic of journeys by fax machine. Absurdist drama that makes eager use of stop-motion carpet figures, silent-film references, computer animation, video and arcade games.
Great ChoiceRobin Comisar IFFR 2018 7′
Witty retro horror in which a woman seems caught in a loop in a dated video commercial. Family restaurant Red Lobster just won’t let go. How can she get out of here?

A 1990s classic with a lead role for rap duo Kid 'N Play. Kid wants to make an impression with his rhyming skills and organises a big house party with Play. But it all doesn’t go as planned. An infectious comedy with a killer soundtrack and fantastic style. And an afterparty in the style of the film.

Press Play for the Anti-Commercial BreakIFFR 2018
What is reality? The power of the imagination from the 1990s to now, in films that blend performance art, theatre and advertising to a single surreal whole. Interrupted – of course – by a real (anti-)commercial break.
Snowy Bing Bongs Across the North Star Combat ZoneRachel Wolther, Alex H. Fischer IFFR 2018 40′
A road trip through a universe in which farts are deafening and dance and comedy make a great combo. The Snowy Bing Bongs hit overdrive every minute resulting in bonkers TV comedy.
Swedish Candy, Some Violence and a Bit of CatEster Martin Bergsmark IFFR 2018 45′
Sugary clash and merging of violence and love, old and new, Tarzan and Jane. Above all an incitement to transgress the boundaries between all these binaries.
Team HurricaneAnnika Berg IFFR 2018 95′
A group of teen girls refuse to conform to the world’s demands. With brightly-coloured leggings, Pikachu and plenty of raised middle fingers they steer themselves towards adulthood in a film that with its neon-green subtitles is equally unapologetic about its non-conformism.
Totes Adorbs ❤️ HurricaneIFFR 2018
'Hysterical' could be a euphemism for the Japanese disco-pop performances by Miss Revolutionary Idol Berserker. Choreographer Toco Nikaido creates a radically chaotic world made up of J-pop music, dance steps, glitter, costume changes, confetti storms and countless references to popular culture.
The WalkerSu Hui-yu IFFR 2018 18′
Pop culture and high art merge into a physical, visual interpretation of the Walker Theatre in Taipei, which – in the 1990s – was home to the Taiwanese experimental art scene.
WijRene Eller IFFR 2018 100′
In a village on the Dutch-Belgian border a group of teens pull stupid pranks, have sex and seek excitement. However, during the summer that started so languorously, the initially playful messing about turns into prostitution, power dynamics and blackmail. An intense event forces sometimes painful introspection upon the group in this modern coming-of-age drama.
