Ayamus IFFR 2017 15′Loosely translated Azadaar means they who lament. This two-part video installation by Ayamus depicts a group of men pounding their bare backs or chests in a trance. The sensuous images are purposely unspectacular to provide a more nuanced insight than the ideological, polarising media discourse allows.
