Yamamoto Eiichi

YAMAMOTO Eiichi (1940, Japan) is an animator, screenwriter and director, working in anime. Together with Tezuka Osamu he founded the Mushi Production animation studio. From 1969 to 1973 he directed the adult anime Animerama trilogy. The third of these, Belladonna of Sadness (1973), was nominated for a Golden Bear at the Berlinale. One Arm (2018), directed with Sugii Gisaburo, premiered at Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
