WONG Ching Po (1973, Hong Kong) started out directing countless commercials and music videos. In 2003, he made his feature film debut with the independently produced Fu bo. His first commercial film, Jiang hu, featuring Hong Kong stars Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung was released a year later. Once Upon a Time in Shanghai is Wong's sixth feature.
