Wim Wenders

Wim WENDERS (1945, Düsseldorf) attended the Munich Film School and became a leading figure of 1970s German cinema. After moving to the USA, he directed several films including Paris, Texas, which brought him both the Golden Palm and a box-office hit. Since then he makes unconventional features and documentaries with varied success in Europe and in the USA. He is also an essayist, photographer and film critic.
