Valérie Massadian
Through photography, French-Armenian Valérie MASSADIAN came to 'image-making', notably in the form of slideshow screenings (The Link, Mary Go Round, Journal de bord), exhibited in Tokyo, London and Porto. She collaborated with Nan Goldin and several film directors before she made her feature debut Nana (2011), which won the prize for Best First Feature Film at the Locarno Film Festival. Milla (2017), world premiere in Locarno, was awarded the Cine+ Special there. Massadian also won the Audentia Award for best female director in 2017.
