Ulrich SEIDL (1952, Austria) makes documentaries and features like Import/Export which was screened in the main competition in Cannes. So was its sequel, Paradies: Liebe, the first part of a trilogy in which part two, Glaube, made its debut in Venice and there, just like Seidl’s documentary Hundstage, won the special jury prize. Paradies: Hoffnung (2013) concludes the trilogy. Safari (2016) is his most recent documentary, which he directed and co-wrote.
