Sunil Pandey

Sunil PANDEY (1995, Nepal) is a Kathmandu-based screenwriter and filmmaker. After three years of studying at the Oscar International College, he graduated in 2016 specialising in Screen Writing and Direction. His films revolve around the spiritual journey his characters are on, exploring life, love, happiness, suffering, and death. In 2016, his graduation film, The Eternal Journey, was an attempt to examine himself through the use of cinema. This film received the 'Special Mention' and 'Future of Nepali Cinema' awards at the Ekadeshma International Short Film Festival that same year. Furthermore, it was nominated in more than 40 film festivals globally, winning eight important awards such as that of the NETPAC Asian Film Festival. Bagthan is yet another attempt to examine himself.
