Steven Okazaki

Steven Okazaki (1952, Venice, California) lives in Berkeley and has a small film-production company in Los Angeles. He has made children's films, documentaries and (independent) features. He made his début in 1982 with Survivors, a documentary about surviving the atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. With Living on Tokyo Time (1987) he tried his hand at the genre of the low-budget comedy. His short documentary Days of Waiting won an Oscar in 1991.
