Steven Eastwood

Steven EASTWOOD is a British artist and filmmaker. His work has been screened and exhibited internationally andis often concerned with ethics, belief, mental and physical disability. His debut feature Buried Land (2010) was officially selected for film festivals in Tribeca, Moscow and Mumbai. In 2001, his documentary Those Who Are Jesus was nominated for a Grierson Award. Previously, Eastwood was the director of the Moving Image Research Centre at the University of East London and the State University at Buffalo in New York. Currently he teaches at the Queen Mary University in London. His latest documentary Island premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2017.
