Sophie Goyette
Sophie GOYETTE is a Canadian writer and director of five short films awarded in competition at Sundance, Locarno and Toronto. La ronde (2011) premiered in Locarno and won six prizes at festivals including Best Short Fiction at Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois. Her short Le futur proche (2012) was selected for the International Competition at the 2013 Sundance Festival. Mes nuits feront écho/Still Night, Still Light (2016), her first feature film, won the Bright Future Award at IFFR. Goyette returns to Rotterdam in 2019 as co-director of the omnibus film The Seven Last Words.
