<p>Filmmaker and lecturer Shahi A.J. (India) is a literature graduate who studied at the Film and Television Institute of India, specialising in scriptwriting and directing. He received a grant from the India Foundation for the Arts to make&nbsp;<strong>Letters Unwritten to Naiyer Masud</strong> (2022), a documentary delving into the fictional universe created by the Urdu writer. The film was selected for IFFR 2023.</p>

The search for the home of the author Naiyer Masud becomes an exploration of a city.

Having identified a number of elements that reappear in the short stories of Naiyer Masud – in particular, the house in which he wrote all his works – a group of enthusiasts of the late author’s writings make a visit to the city of Lucknow in northern India.
