Serik Aprymov

Serik APRYMOV (1960, Aul-Aksuat, East Kazakhstan) studied engineering from 1975 to 1979, fulfilled his military duty and in 1983 started a study in film directing at the film school of Moscow (VGIK). He took Sergei Solovjev's masterclass in 1989 and had his international breakthroughs with Aksuat and Tri brata. At the 2000 Rotterdam festival, Aprymov was Film Maker in Focus.
