Saurav RAI followed Film Direction &amp; Screenplay Writing at the Satyajit Ray Film and TV Institute. His short film Monsoon Rain had its world premiere at the 34th International Munich Film Festival in Germany. His graduation film Nest was selected for Cannes in 2016. He believes in simplicity and takes a keen interest in the folk tales and mythology of his village life and tries to internalise these themes in his films. Invitation is his debut feature.

A poor boy from an Indian mountain village does his utmost to be allowed to attend a wedding he wasn't invited to.

How do you get an invitation to a wedding if the bridegroom's father dislikes you? In a village in Darjeeling, a landowner's 10-year old helper nevertheless goes all out, perhaps even going too far. Endearing, realistic insight into caste relations in a lesser-known part of India.
