Sami van Ingen
Still: PolteSami VAN INGEN (1964, Finland) has worked as an artist, lecturer and curator since the late 1980s, and is considered one of the pioneers of experimental filmmaking in Finland. He has made over 30 short films, using various techniques to manipulate found or forgotten footage and has screened them at festivals in Edinburgh, IFFR, BFI London Film Festival and at institutions such as the National Gallery of Art in Washington. Monica in the South Seas (2023) had its world premiere at IFFR 2023.
