Salam ZAMPALIGRE (1980, Burkina Faso) is a film enthusiast and member of the Generation Films Collective. After studying communications, he turned definitively to cinema by enrolling at the Institut Supérieur de l'Image et du Son (ISIS-Studio École) in Ouagadougou, from which he graduated with a degree in directing. He also did internships in Germany (Deutsch Welle Akademie), France (FEMIS Summer University 2007 and CIFAP in 2012) and the Netherlands (Netherlands Film and Television Academy). He is the author and director of several short films, fiction features and documentaries. Pioneer of the Ciné-Club FESPACO, he initiated the Djibril Diop Mambety Prize for Youth in 2001.
