Filmmaker and photographer QU Youjia (1990, China) was educated at Beijing Film Academy and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design. His debut film, <strong>Meijing</strong>, won several awards, including Best Fiction Film at Chongqing Youth Film Festival; the Night Award at Signes de Nuit; and Best Film at Stars Hollywood Festival. His second film, <strong>Together Apart</strong>, was awarded Best Short Film at FIRST International Film Festival.

A recently deceased man returns home in this absurd, tender reflection on family, loneliness, time and memory.

Post funeral, the widow meets her recently cremated husband at home, very much alive. His long-dead brother also proves to be on his way over. How the bereaved deal with the illogical unfolds in long and composed takes, replete with understated humour and tender reflections on family, loneliness and memory.
