Phillip Noyce

Phillip Noyce (1950, Griffith, New South Wales, Australia) directed short documentaries until, in the late 1970s, he made his international breakthrough with the feature Newsfront. After the success of his thriller Dead Calm, he left for Hollywood, where he directed films like Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger.
