Patrice ÉNARD (1945-2008, France) was a filmmaker, researcher/iconographer, theorist and film critic. Following studies at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français, he directed some industrial films and news reports on motocross. He completed his military service with the Cinéma des Armées in Baden-Baden. Énard made his first short films in the mid-1960s, which were widely distributed in alternative circles and at film festivals. At the same time, he served as journalist and editor on several film magazines, including Sex Stars System, Star System, Ciné Eros Star, Ciné Girl, Star Ciné Vidéo, Ciné-Films and Erostory Film.
