Patrice Chéreau

Patrice CHÉREAU (1944, Lézigné, France) directed his first play in 1964 and made a name for himself as a gifted theatre and opera director. In 1966, he became director of the Sartrouville Theatre. His film début dates from 1975, after which he built up a steadily growing oeuvre of successful films.
