Noël Burch

Noël Burch (1932). Born in San Francisco, he studied at the I.D.H.E.C. (film schoolz0 in Paris and taught film at various film schools and universities. He has written for film Quarterly, Les Cahiers du Cinema, Screen, After-Image, Cinetracts, Oktober, La Nouvelle Critique etc.Other publications: Theory of Film Practice (Prager, 1969), Marcel L'herbier (Seghers, 1973), To the Distant Observer (Univ. California, 1979).
