Nathaniel Dorsky

Nathaniel DORSKY (1943, USA) belongs to the avant-garde of American cinema and has worked for a considerable time in San Francisco as a filmmaker and editor. In order to ensure full attention for his films, his work is screened in complete silence. Dorsky also wrote the book Devotional Cinema (2003). In 2011 the IFFR honoured him with a retrospective and Dorsky won a Tiger Award for his short film Pastourelle.
