Nacho A. Villar

Nacho A. VILLAR (1990, Spain) studied film directing at Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad in Madrid. His short film Niña (2014) screened at numerous festivals including Malaga Film Festival in 2015 and Global Peace Film Festival in Florida in the same year. La maleta de Helios (2019) was his first feature-length documentary. Alongside Luis Rojo, he is part of the film collective BRBR based between Madrid and London. BRBR began in 2014 with advertisements and music videos. Their work has screened at festivals including El Ojo de Iberoamerica, Young Directors Award, Ciclope Festival and Berlin Commercial. La mala familia (2022), made up of a cast of exclusively non-professional actors, is the collective's first feature film.
