Still: OUTHERE (for Lee Lozano)
As an artist, Maïder FORTUNÉ (1973, France) makes use of different mediums such as video, photography, film and installation. She studied Literature and Theatre in Paris before entering Le Fresnoy National Studio for Contemporary Arts, where she began to experiment with ‘the experience of the image’. Here she developed a performance-related practice of the technological image, a genuine experience of the image and its processes. Recently, her practice turned to more narrative preoccupations. Fortuné’s work has been exhibited internationally at Centre Pompidou in Paris, Vancouver Art Gallery and Loop Barcelona, among others. L’inconnu de Collegno (2019) and Communicating Vessels (2020, Ammodo Tiger Short Competition) both had their world premiere in Rotterdam.
