Matthew HEINEMAN (1983, United States) is an Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, based in New York City. He graduated from Darthmouth College in 2005 with a degree in History. He discovered filmmaking while him and his friends were taking a road trip through the U.S. He has twice won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary Award from the Directors Guild of America, one of only three directors to win the prestigious honour twice.
