Marin Karmitz

Marin Karmitz (1940, Bucharest) studied at the Paris film-school IDHEC and made three full-length left-wing, militant features. In the late seventies, Karmitz became film distributor, then one of France's most important producers, with films by e.g. Lucian Pintilie, the Taviani brothers, Louis Malle, Agnès Varda and Kieslowski's Red-White-Blue cycle to his name.
