Mariana Rondón

Mariana RONDÓN (1966, Caracas, Venezuela) studied from 1987 to 1990 at the International Film and Television School in Cuba. She is head of Sudaca Films, which she co-founded with Marité Ugás in 1991. A la medianoche y media (1999) was their feature debut. With her autobiographical film Postcards from Leningrad (2007), about her parents who fought as guerrillas, she won numerous international awards. Bad Hair (2013) won the FIPRESCI prize in Thessaloniki.
