Marcello Sannino

Marcello SANNINO (1971, Italy) is a filmmaker and documentary film teacher. He worked as a bookseller before starting his career as a director. He released his first documentary, Decroux e il mimo corporeo, in 2003. Corde (2009) premiered at the Torino Film Festival, where it won the AVANTI Award for new filmmakers and the Special Jury Prize for Italian documentary film. Three years later, La seconda natura (2012) received a special mention at the festival. Rosa pietra stella has its world premiere at IFFR 2020.
