Manolo Nieto

Manolo NIETO (1972, Uruguay) graduated in Media from the University of Montevideo. After working in television for two years, he went on to work as assistant director for Lisandro Alonso, Paz Encina, Federico Vieroj and others. His first feature film, The Dog Pound which he also wrote and produced, premiered at IFFR in 2006, where it won a Tiger Award. Shortly after that, Nieto founded his production company Roken Films.
