Kurt Voelker

Kurt VOELKER (Dallas, Texas) worked as an assistant to Dan Rather at CBS News and then went to the USC film school where he wrote and directed the short film Decade of Love. This film won the Audience Award at the Dresden International Short Film Festival. In the past eight years he has written screenplays for Hollywood studios e.g. Sony, Disney, Fox, Paramount and Warner Bros, including the screenplay for Sweet November in 2001. He recently finished adapting the novels Sweet Hush, and A Girl Could Stand Up as well as co-creating and supervising a new TV comedy pilot Sweden, Ohio. Park is Voelker’s first feature as a director.
