Kristy Guevara-Flanagan

Kristy GUEVARA-FLANAGAN (USA) is a filmmaker and an assistant professor at UCLA, where she teaches courses on documentary filmmaking. She holds a Master degree in Cinema from the San Francisco State University. Her first feature-length documentary film Going on 13 (2008) was selected for Tribeca, Silverdocs and other international film festivals. With her documentary Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines, which premiered in Sundance in 2012, she attracted numerous awards. She also directs and produces short films, among them El corrida de Cecilia Rios (1999) and What Happened to Her (2016).
