Kristof Hoornaert

Kristof HOORNAERT (1980, Belgium) was educated in Audiovisual Arts in Ghent and Brussels. In 2006, he started working as a freelance director by making several corporate films and commercials. In 2009, his first short film Kaïn premiered in the official competition of the Berlin film festival. His second short film The Fall (2013) won several awards and was screened at more than fourty film festivals. In 2015, his third short film Empire (2015) was screened in competition at the film festival of Montreal. Hoornaert’s first feature film Resurrection (2017) had its world premiere in Ghent.
